D&B RIFUGIO FUCIADE in Val di Fassa
It is not a joke ! We are at 2,000 metres above the level of the sea; we are closer to God and for sure we are in the full immersion of peace and relax.
Oh, my God, we are in Val di Fassa but not in one of the few beautiful mountain towns of Val di Fassa (Moena first of all and the most famous). No, we are nowhere and we enjoy it !
What about the idea to leave your car so close, but so close, that you have to walk only fortyfive minutes and then, in a so short time you already arrived at the D&B ?
Oh, be calm, at the park there is their snowcat and in 10 minutes you arrive at the D&B RIFUGIO FUCIADE.
The patron’s name is the name of a famous shoes brand “Sergio Rossi” (in Romagna is its smart outlet).
The wife of Sergio is Emanuela.
Wife and husband can give you the best and such a rare gift: their smile when you arrive and in every moment of your stay there they will care for you.
A suggestion: often pinch yourself to be sure you are not dreaming and, believe me, you are not. You’re living in a dream location, almost unique in Italy and you are enjoying it.

Obviously, if you do not ski, come here only in summer.
The Bed part is charming, only 7 rooms which are all very large, well furnished with local wood furniture and, obviously, breathtaking views.
The Dinner part . . . oh, where will I find the correct words to describe it ?
Let’s say what you cannot miss: gnocchi su letto di castelmagno fuso al teroldego (a bit heavy, but, of course, you will jog tomorrow, ok ?!), stinco di maiale al forno and/or faraona al foie gras, and as dessert, the daily surprise that . . . changes every day.
Before you decide the wine, ask Sergio to visit his cellar: unbelievable what it is, how very rich it is holding more than 300 labels, not forgetting where we are.
When you will leave from Rifugio Fuciade, you begin to consider when, as soon as possible, you will come back here again and hear the noise of the snow.
